What is a PTAC?

PTACs are non-profit organizations located throughout the United States which provide contracting assistance to businesses pursuing work with Federal, State and Local government agencies. This procurement technical assistance center is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). The Northwest Commission PTAC is a business tool that enables companies located in our region (the Pennsylvania counties of Clarion, Crawford, Erie, Forest, Lawrence, Mercer, Venango and Warren) to more competitively pursue and obtain government work—including prime and subcontract work at the Federal, State and Local levels of government—by providing information, opportunities and technical assistance. The Northwest Commission PTAC is a member of the Association of Procurement Technical Assistance Centers (APTAC).  If your business is located outside the Northwest Commission’s 8-county region, visit www.aptac-us.org to find the PTAC near you.
